BlueBrixx to Launch Asterix Sets in 2026
A new chapter in Asterix merchandising is set to begin. The German construction toy company BlueBrixx has secured a license from Les Éditions Albert René to produce official Asterix building sets.
The first wave is scheduled for Q4 2026, with twelve sets planned, followed by thirteen more in early 2027. The sets will be based directly on the classic comics, featuring key characters, recognizable locations, and printed figures representing the Gauls and their world.
Customer Service
I contacted BlueBrixx to ask for information, and this is the answer I received:
Thank you very much for your exciting inquiry and the great interest in our upcoming Asterix building block sets! Please reply directly to this email so that we can clearly assign your case.
I can absolutely understand that the anticipation in your community is huge—we ourselves are already very excited! Unfortunately, I am not yet allowed to release any specific information, images, or details regarding the planned Asterix sets. As soon as we are officially allowed to announce news, we will of course do so across all our channels—and I am sure that will give people plenty to talk about on your website.
What I can tell you already: We are working at full speed to present the first sets as soon as possible. Our goal is to bring the world of Asterix to life for all fans with many charming details and exciting building scenes.
Thank you for your understanding that we have to keep you in suspense for a little while longer. As soon as there is news, you definitely won’t miss it!
Best regards and a hearty “As Obelix would say: These Romans are crazy!”
Timing
The timing is notable. The release coincides with a broader resurgence of Asterix, including the upcoming animated film Asterix – The Kingdom of Nubia, set to premiere on December 3, 2026. This suggests a coordinated push to bring the franchise back into the spotlight across multiple formats.

For fans, this marks the first substantial, structured line of Asterix construction sets — a new way to experience the famous village and its inhabitants beyond the page.
