Asterix Collections

Now and then a new collection of Asterix albums gets published in a special format. In French often known as an Integrale. Usually high quality print, hard cover and looked after by collectors. Below are a few collections I have or try to put together.

La Grande Collection

Extra large albums. When you put the whole series side by side, the spines form a picture of the village.

L’Intégrale

Released between 2010 and 2011, L’Intégrale set brings together the full run of Asterix adventures in a unique format that combines two stories per book, along with special dossier-style supplements.

Double Albums

The release of all Asterix albums as two-by-twos. Several reprints were made, with some albums having a more greyish/silver color than others. 

La Collection Officielle

La Collection Officielle is a special series of Asterix albums published by Hachette in 2020–2021. The collection reprints the classic adventures in a large-format edition, each volume enriched with 18 pages of exclusive bonus content. These added sections provide behind-the-scenes material, cultural references, and insights into the creation of the stories by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo.

Collector Volume

In 2024 Papercutz started with the release of the Collector Volume series. At the time of writing three books have been three released and two have been announced. Now would be a great time to start collecting this series. The books are still readily available.
