The Asterix movies can easily be divided in three categories; 2D animated movies, 3D animated movies and live-action movies.  For many younger people these movies are their first introduction to the world of Asterix. 2025 saw the release of a five episode animation series on Netflix titles Asterix and Obelix: The Big Fight.
