Tragicomix is engaged to Panacea. After he is forcefully recruited into the Roman army by Julius Caesar to fight Scipio in North Africa, Obelix—ever the gentleman—decides to go and save him. Asterix of course, goes with him. 

We later meet Tragicomix again in Asterix and the Actress and he also makes an appearance in the Golden Book
