Homeopathix is Impedimentia‘s brother and the brother-in-law of Chief Vitalstatistix. Residing in Lutetia, he is a wealthy merchant who clearly considers himself a success, though his tendency to brag creates a notoriously strained relationship with the Chief.

While he is central to the plot of Asterix and the Laurel Wreath, he also makes appearances in the Golden Book and Asterix and the White Iris. Beyond these, he is mentioned by name in Asterix and the Soothsayer and appears in several books from the Dogmatix and the Indominitables series.

He is called Homeopathix in all albums, except that sometimes the e is written with an accent (é).
