This “wise” owl thinks he knows a thing or two about magic potions. He lives with druid Psychoanalytix in the forrest.

His French name Voldenuix is a pun on the phrase “vol de nuit,” which translates to “night flight.” This is a direct and clever reference to the character’s nature as an owl, a bird active during the night. The name reminds me of a villain in another popular series. This owl is no villain though. 

The English name, Nocturnix, conveys the same meaning of being nocturnal.
