New Dutch Idefix album
In Belgium and the Netherlands fans of Asterix, Obelix and Dogmatix might want to visit their local comicbook store this week to buy the seventh Idefix album. Idéfix is of course the French, but also Dutch name of Dogmatix. The Dutch release is planned for March 12.

Album number seven was released last year in French under the title “La Traversée de Lutèce” which is means “Crossing Lutetia”. Lutetia is the old name of Paris. The Dutch translators have named the album “Lutetia knalt”, “Lutetia bangs” or “Lutetia explodes”. Just as in the previous albums there are three short stories in this one and in the first one there is some fireworks, hence the Dutch title.
The 8th albums well be available in French on June 11 of this this year under the French title “À la poursuite du flacon ver” (in pursuit of the green bottle). Judging from the cover it isn’t a green bottle from a well-known Gaulish warrior. The German translation is scheduled for release in July. When other translations will be available is unclear.
The cartoonist for album eight is Federico Mancuso, an Italian artist who has worked for Disney.
Translations
The Dutch and German translations are keeping up with the French ones. The official Asterix.com website however isn’t very up2date. Two English albums are scheduled for release later this month and two others will follow later this year.
